The Quellhütte - a historic house with character ....
With the construction of Vienna's second spring water pipeline, a new chapter was opened on the Quellhütte site. On the centuries-old foundations of an order's outpost, the City of Vienna built a new school in the Salza Valley, directly next to the spring tunnel that still feeds the well today.
The house is a solid timber-framed structure with large rooms over 3 meters high, partially covered with shingles on the outside, and plastered inside in the old Viennese tradition. The wild mix of hunting lodge and bourgeois villa creates the special charm of this "old lady" among Weichselboden's buildings.
Mayors, emperors, federal presidents... many dignitaries have visited this house in its long history. Take a look through the photo galleries and see if you'd like it here, too!

Overview of the space available ....
The "Parterre" holiday apartment is located on the ground floor. It is available in various versions (L, XL, or XXL) ranging from 70 to 140 m² and has a separate entrance (No. 20/1) from the access road. Pets are welcome here.
The different versions usually consist of the same kitchen and bathroom facilities, but with different numbers of bedrooms. This way, you get the living space you desire. Unnecessary rooms remain closed, and you only pay for what you need.
The second entrance (No. 20/2) leads to the first floor via a staircase. This is where the check-in office, the manager's apartment, and the additional room "Rotrieg'l" are located, which supplements the apartments when the space there isn't sufficient.
On the second floor is the holiday apartment "Dachbod'n," which is available in various versions ranging from 70 to 150 m² ("Dachbod'n L, XL, or XXL"). This provides plenty of space for guests—but no room for pets.

The large double doors can be opened completely, creating a spacious living-bedroom-kitchen area. The "Klausgrab'n" room is not included in the "Parterre XL" variant.

The cast iron stove with soapstone casing conjures up cozy warmth even on the frostiest winter days - all the way to the "Klausgrab'n" bedroom.

The additional room Rotrieg'l on the 1st floor can only be booked together with the "Dachbod'n XXL" apartments or a variant of "Parterre" if there is not enough space there.
The residents of the additional room Rotrieg'l then use their kitchen and sanitary facilities.

General information about the Quellhütte's offerings ....
The Quellhütte offers two holiday apartments (ground floor and attic) of flexible size and an additional room ("Rotrieg'l"). Up to two additional rooms can be booked by phone or email, depending on availability. You can check the availability and prices of the holiday apartments using the search form. Pets are welcome in the "Parterre" and "Rotrieg'l" for a fee (unfortunately not in the Attic). There is a minimum booking period of 3 nights during the transitional period and 6 nights in mid-winter. Reduced weekly and monthly rates are available for stays of 7 or 28 consecutive nights. The total price is comprised of the different accommodation rates (weekday, weekend, window periods, and holidays), the (minimum) occupancy of the selected accommodation (solo, duo, trio, quartet, quintet, etc.), the tourist tax for guests over 15 years of age, and the cleaning service fee per accommodation. Additionally, if you wish to use the wood-burning stove, you can add the wood-burning stove fee, and if you wish to depart later, you can add the "evening departure" fee. Please make the prepayment for your online reservation the traditional way by bank transfer after receiving the invoice. We will send you the invoice to your email address within 48 hours of your reservation. You have the right to make the transfer. up to 4 weeks before the start of the stay - or for short-term bookings up to 2 days before the check-in date.
